Agree. Something like spinners used in web and mobile app UIs. Also with options to control the size of the "spinner" to either fixed sized or the whole screen. Users are usually ok with the fact that some functionality takes time to process, as long as it is obvious that something is happening. Nice if there are options to pass custom text and images to this.
