File preview functionality

For the Notes Client a preview  functionality would be needed to preview attached files in a frame when the file is selected.

For the web a xpage control would be great to show a preview e.g. for a selected view entry.

The preview function should allow to select the first attachment from a doc.

Thumbnail or preview size should be given as a parameter.

This would enable Domino as an excellent document management system.

Popular formats preview is strongly needed feature in web ECM applications. A year ago we hoped that IBM Docs will cover this functionality, but now it is not a case. So platform has to bring the feature out of the box.

I vote for Domino embedded web preview tool.

Domino have been moving to web and cloud for a long time.

It's the case for not only Verse.

TeamRoom, Discussions, Doc Library and any custom web app should have embedded preview tool like FileNet has.

It would be great to leverage HCL Docs for this goal. For example, limited use version of Docs to preview any attachments stored in or accessed through Domino
