Welcome to the #dominoforever Product Ideas Lab! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated jointly by the IBM & HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

Xpages Forever

Top priorities for Xpages:

1) New roadmap

2) New Extension Library release/features

3) Bootstrap 4

4) New controls from openntf example Google Maps, Apache POI, Recaptcha, Charts, ecc.

5 ) Add controls like https://www.primefaces.org/showcase/index.xhtml

6) Add other responsive controls

7) New Dojo engine

8) New JSF engine

9) Official Support Forever

The main idea is to push a future for xpages (#xpagesforever). I love Domino, I love xpages, I love xpages + bootstrap. In Version 10 I did not see anything new on xpages. I wish more investments on xpages.

How about NO dojo-engine but jQuery or use the integrated node.js features for asynchronous requests.

XPages is the only mature Web NSF framework in this moment.
    Node.JS is the future ok.

But carry out the XPages development and when Node.JS will have the same level of maturity then ask us to pass on Node

We are not interested in porting over our business logic from Java (Interfaces, abstract classes, models, persistence, ect) to JavaScript.  If XPages and Java are no longer supported, we will need to move to a new Java platform.
