Stylus based "wet ink" signature widget for touchscreen

Notes has always been a document based environment.  The X.509 certificate based digital signature is very powerful and I have used them in applications for several Federal Government agencies.  With the event of affordable mobile touchscreen computing, the wet ink, stylus based signature for third party Signatures should be as available as a date picker or a picklist.
An important feature should be to allow the user to "scale" signature size in the field.  I.e. 30% - 100% as it fits the needs of the document... for printability purposes.
I wrote a simple Java applet that collected the signature and placed it into a rich text lite that was first not compatible with a 9.01 version, the next 9.01 version DID work, then in V10 it again didn't work!
As developers, we shouldn't have to write code for something as basic as planting a wet ink signature on a document!
