Welcome to the #dominoforever Product Ideas Lab! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated jointly by the IBM & HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

Does'nt this error indicate a problem with the underlying disk subsystem?

RRV bucket errors would be the result of a storage problem. Recovery from such errors would be difficult. There must be missing blocks. If you could fill in what is missing through the use of alternate keys,
that would be wonderful. A restore from before the corruption occurred is often the best option.

If you encounter errors like this you should investigate + fix the root cause. Domino can provide some help, but the real root cause on why your disks are failing you still need to identify. In Domino 10 there is a feature that will allow automatic repair of damaged databases within a cluster.

For non clustered servers there is no other solution than to restore from a backup because the file is damaged on disk and there is no chance to have Domino repairing it.
