HCL Domino Ideas Portal

Welcome to the #dominoforever Product Ideas Forum! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

add a feature to eliminate duplicate internet address from To or CC

When sending e-mail using Outlook, even if the same Internet address is set for To and CC, duplicates are not removed and are sent as is.

e.g.

To: UserA@domino.com

CC: UserA@domino.com

When such an email is received by Domino, the recipient receives only one email because Domino removes duplicates internally.

However, when the recipient opens the mail, the same Internet address is still shown in the To and CC fields.

Please add a feature that would eliminate duplicate addresses from To and CC.

    Deduplication already exists :
e.g. create a new mail, put "UserA@domino.com" into the SendTo field and into the copyto field, then refresh the screen (View/refresh) and the address is removed from the CopyTo field.

In the case you described above, you are receiving an email with the same name in To and CopyTo. When replying to an email like this the names will be deduplicated when refreshing (View/refresh)
