Welcome to the #dominoforever Product Ideas Forum! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

Add a comment command to the Domino server console

Add a comment command like "REM <some text>  "  to the domino console..

This would just write the command line to log.nsf and do nothing else.

This allows to comment on administration action done via command line ( why a fixup, updall etc. was done and the corresponding incident number in the ticket system)

This would also allow scripts running outside of domino to write messages to the Domino log  via nserver -c command

eg.  nserver -c "REM script xyz completed with error 5"

so you can trigger an action via DDM

Did you try Broadcast? You can use this to broadcast a message to users of course, but if you just enter a "Void" recipient nothing happens, but the broadcast is logged... Command would be broadcast "Important message" "ToTheServer" Only a workaround, therefor: +1 from me.
