Join ICAA with Nomad so ICAA is then Nomad for Windows

The more use of smart device features we make in our apps like GPS, compass or Camera, the more windows users are out of the game although these devices have the same capability (or at least similar).

ICAA for Windows and Nomad for IOS/Android is no good platform independent strategy.

I would prefer to call HCL Nomad the new Notes Client "light" and would like to see it on all platforms.

    IOS - native mobile app

    Android - native mobile app

    Windows - WA

    Mac - WA

sounds like this is your strategy. I would prefer native apps based on the same code for windows and mac - but what we should get rid off is completely different approaches for notes on win and mac compared to iOS and Android. Let’s be brave: drop your legacy.

Exactly, @Thomas, thatching the right question. Why should there be different code streams with different features available? Drop notes and make nomad available everywhere. I thought that was the reason not to give notes a new icon....?

Would it be sufficient to join Nomad and ICAA into Nomad WA, which is no longer OS dependent?

@thomas there is no Notes Basic client for macOS for example!
I would like to use a lightweight, easy to install and update Notes Basic client like ICAA or IBM Domino Mobile Apps a.k.a Nomad for iPad is, BUT I would like to open my own mail database within this client.

Add a notes.ini on macOS / Windows or iOS AppConfig setting the enable or disable personal mail access and all would be happy.

@thomas: It would be light, fast and runs on windows as well as ios and android tablets the same way, also using the smart device features like GPS, camera and compass.

I think the need is for Nomad to also run inside a Web browser to handle situations in which a Notes client (or ICAA) is not installed on a computer. The Notes Basic client and ICAA usually require some level of corporate adoption to get access. Users don't care for that. They just want to be able to download and install software quickly (once) to access an application. A browser plugin option for Nomad provides that.

What would be the difference to the Notes Basic client which exists today?
