Any Mail Client on any platform: Search Mail

Notes (and on the server side Domino) has a very powerful search engine, but it has a bad reputation.
Why? Because I can not find the mail I am looking for.
Reasons? No index. Spelling error. Mail is in a archive, not in my main mail file.
All things that Notes can overcome IF it is well configured. But too often it isnt. Local archives have no index, etc etc.

Plus the default search (Cntrl-F) is a weird complex engineer search thing no DAU understands and hates.

Then people discover the search in Menu / View / Search this view and this works somewhat - if you set the 'Show results to 'Sorted like current view' and the index is up to date and the mail not happens to be in the archive, etc. After that 99% gives up.

Only few discover the search widget in the upper right corner (Notes9 design) than you need to set to 'All mails and archives' every single time again and then you may find things better.

The idea is simple: Make Cntrl-F work by default. Enforce mail Index. Enforce search over Archives. Enforce relaxed spelling (aka word variants, fuzzy search). Its all there - only you need to be an admin to make it work.

Same in Calendar: When I search for a meeting with a person - searching just in the current view or mailfile is useless.
Same in Contacts and everywhere.

Fixing Search once and #dominoforever would be great.
