Welcome to the #dominoforever Product Ideas Forum! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

Improve application development documentation

In particular, create extensive documentation for using items in the Extension Library.  Build a documentation library from the standpoint of someone who's never used Notes/Domino before. Beginner, Intermediate, Expert areas.  In the past you could attend Notes developer training classes, they don't really exist anymore, so there should be an easily accessible source of information for developers at all levels, not just combing through blog posts of other developers.

And, I sorely miss the way < R9 designer help worked.  I struggle to find the LS properties & methods in the R9 help, and I don't like it being embedded in Eclipse.

Plenty of missing methods too.  I believe getComponent().getValue doesn't appear as a method but getValueBinding() does.

Great suggestion.  Better documentation = happier developers= better applications = happier customers

Stackoverflow and OpenNTF both are great sources of coding examples but when I try to find some of the properties these developers use, I find zero in the Designer documentation.

The Notes 7 Redbook was fantastic, never been anything like it since.
