Redesign workspace application

Currently the workspace of the client notes is graphically old and unusable, if you use so many applications.
It would be nice to have a client workspace similar to a windows desktop and maybe even a start menu, with the same possibilities to add, move, remove, overlay various icons and applications.
It is also an intuitive search box that filters the applications you are looking for.

How do you even will see something if you want to further reduce the icons?

The workspace should be similar to apps view in iOS or Android with similar functionality.

I could see it in 10 beta 1 notes but what I would like is a complete review of the workspace.
I do not care to change the background.
I would like to make it easier to keep the workspace tidy and quickly search / find a certain application.

    - today you can only type the first letter of an application name to automatically place itself. I know there is also a way to search the entire catalog database with the menu at the top right. But it is really not intuitive
    - organizing the icons is too mechanical, if I move an icon above another icon it is moved downwards and so also all those below .....
    - the square icons are really too old-fashioned
    - the icons are too big
    - with certain resolutions in the icons you can hardly see the title of the db
    - moving icons from one tab to another is too complicated. If you go too much else lose the drag and drop, once you've moved it you do not know where it's over

And so on ............ it's all too technical. For a normal user, the first difficulty becomes unusable and inconvenient.
And this is practically the business card of the Notes client ..... :(

There are pros and cons in structuring the workspace as it is today. Have you seen the Notes 10 beta1 with its capability to customize the design of the workspace?
