Allow embedding of Webview2 control in forms

The to me only known way to embed a browser control in HCL Notes is via (somewhat deprecated) activex, which again only supports the deprecated Internet Explorer (ieframe.dll).

Webview2 again is not available as activex control and it would be very helpful to be able to natively embed a webview2 control in an HCL Notes form to display modern websites from inside an NSF on Windows and Mac (Windows would suffice for a start as afaik Webview2 is not available yet on MacOS).

Since Webview2 is automatically updated as of Windows 11, there would be no requirements to keep it up-to-date/maintained with Notes client updates.

Ideally, the embedded Webview2 control would allow sizing and autofit to window, as well as support the object model to interact with it from LotusScript.

We are using the standard client of Notes, and we are very troubled if only OnTime is displayed in the browser.

We strongly hope that OnTime will be restored as it used to be a feature that was available before.

Notes can close OnTime tab in Notes when user change location with user.id if it realize.

Currently Notes open OnTime outside from Notes. So user still uses OnTime with previous user.id though user change location with user.id!!!!

From the OnTime Group Calendar team I will chime in here and strongly second this idea. We have quite a few customers who are requesting that we can support this scenario. Thanks Jens Overgaard Dinesen
