Welcome to the #dominoforever Product Ideas Lab! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated jointly by the IBM & HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

On the fly spell check, when changing locale

in Europe average person knows 2.7 languages. In my daily life I write in 4 languages. IBM Notes should detect current OS language (German, English, Italian, Swedish, Finish, Russian) and tag language with proper language. This is show stopper and deal breaker in EU countries

This should also be within the same document. I often write multi-language documents.

Yes, this is a big issue for non-English users in Central and Eastern Europe.

    Please consider:

    1.  a preference for default rich text language (a selected one or inherit from OS)
    2.  switch Notes input language when windows keyboard is is switched to another language
    3. automatically tag rich text according to the selected keyboard language in system (nowadays the text is untagged)
    4. allow easier switching of language tag for existing text than right click - text properties - language
    5. enhance spell checker for non English character
