Resize inline images when embedded in richtext field

Some users paste large images in richtext fields and it is hard to explain them how to resize/crop the image and file size with 3rd party software.

Provide a way to either force an image size limit or an easy way (automatic) to reduce the file size of embedded images.

Note that this is about inline images, not attached files.

In our opinion, the Notes client should support the picture's HTML tab, Style field. It doesn't currently in R12. If imported pictures had a default style of "max-width: 100%; width:100%", and it was placed in the Style field, HTML rules say it should be no bigger than its container - the width of the window. If it is placed in a table, 100% would say it is the size of the current column. Obviously this works already for web apps, but the Notes client was given a pittance of HTML compatibility outside the MIME email/newsletter concept. For plain RTF emails and application forms (apps other than email that have a "body" RTF field), we need to update Notes to add that support. It should be cross platform "safe", and make it safe for the bulk of existing apps, as well.

It is not just the file size I wish to compress, it is also the actual image size.
    Example:
When you have a table with fixed size that contains a richtext field and you paste/insert an image that is larger than the intended size, the table expands and the design can become messy. When the image is resized to the maximum table size, it would avoid these problems.

There already is a feature to compress documents that are pasted ( https://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/dominowiki.nsf/dx/OptimizeImagePasteSize ) can you please explain a little more how you would like to have your idea being implemented?
