HCL Domino Ideas Portal

Welcome to the #dominoforever Product Ideas Forum! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

Display Notification or Error Message "You do not have proper access to send email" when user Clicks on "Send" button to send a New email from mail file.

The email is not sent when user does not have "Replicate or copy documents" access in the Mail file ACL

Below are the steps to reproduce:

1. The User "Notes Admin/Wwcorp" has editor rights to his mail file with option in database ACL "Replicate or copy documents" unchecked.

2. Now, when user "Notes Admin/Wwcorp" Clicks on "Send" button to send a New email from mail file the email is not sent and there is no Notification or Error Message displayed.

3. When User "Notes Admin/Wwcorp" tries to reply or forward received emails in mail file, user gets error message "You cannot forward or otherwise copy the contents of this document. This document is set to prohibit copying and duplicating."

Found that the observed behavior has been reported in SPR # JPARA7XBAM.

Also a Enhancement request SPR # SAPRAJUA6C is raised for adding a Notification or Message when user Clicks on "Send" button to send a New email from mail file the email is not sent informing that user has restricted access that prevents the send action to be executed.
