Welcome to the #dominoforever Product Ideas Forum! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

detect RFC822 format address syntax error

If you modify erroneusly an address in Notes client as during the ceation of a new email message, leaving something like:

"mister x" <misterx@domain.com

(please note missing closing >)

And continue put anything, addresses, commas, and so on, then put F9 (no problem evidence) and send message.

The message is sent without any notice about the syntax error.

The request is that Notes could be able to verify the correct syntax of RFC822 addresses.

This seems to be a particular problem with our customers who are on Exchange. The closing greater than symbol is missing or the less than symbol at the start is missing.
