Welcome to the #dominoforever Product Ideas Lab! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated jointly by the IBM & HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

Present a dialog box to users when they change their Notes password to let them know which special characters are not allowed

In many organizations, the Internet password changes when the Notes password changes. When certain special characters are used (the space and the ampersand, for example) as an HTTP password, there can be issues with LDAP directory authentication. This can affect embedded Sametime and Traveler. Ideally, we would be able to warn staff when they change their password not to use the space or ampersand. Can information about which special characters be added to the dialog box staff see when changing their Notes password?
