Options for dealing with large number of folders in Notes

It has been seen for many customers that issues can arise when a large number of folders is created in a mail database. It would be helpful if the adminsitrator could see the number of folders in each mail database in their organisation. That way they could inform users that the number of folders should be reduced. Also it would be helpful if the Notes client checked when the user creates a new folder that the database could be near a threshold of maximum number of folders and also if the folder name was checked for any special characters. If there are too many folders or if the folder name contains special characters the user should be alerted that the folder could not be created.
