Please remove Websphere for Sametime. If not possible,

  • Remove Websphere Network deployment --->  WebSphere Liberty Profile on a docker container

With Domino running Java 8 now, why would you even need Liberty? And with Domino becoming Node.js-ish that could even be the data store if needed.

Eliminate the use of Websphere, DB2 and Linux components (VMCU & VMGR). The installation, configuration of entire sametime is so complex that customer gets frustrated with errors and issues while installing. Most of time, they are not able to work with the components even though they have license. The installation is quite complex and it takes many man days to install and configure. So need to reduce the complexity of the installation and reduce the steps, keep it simple and easy to install. Currently, multiple machines are required, Linux is mandatory, Most customers prefer Windows server only and when it comes to Linux they get lost. Either all components should be windows based or linux based or both.
