Staff may know which person to contact regarding a given software application but, unless they have them in their Contacts, they won't see the phone number or extension for that person. If they want to escalate the issue to that person's supervisor (this is information that we populate the Domino Directory with), they won't see this in their Contacts unless they have entered such information in the Notes field. Ideally, people on Traveler would be able to see additional fields contained in the Domino Directory without using the Notes client. Since we have a number of staff who spend most of their day away from their desks, it would be useful to have phone numbers. supervisors and office locations exposed in a directory lookup when in Traveler.
