Welcome to the #dominoforever Product Ideas Lab! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated jointly by the IBM & HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

Touch ID for Verse on Cloud

I saw a version of Verse with Touch ID enable @ IBM. When the feature is going to be available for external users? The world is moving in one direction why Verse is not?

the IBM Verse application is already touch aware. It depends on your configuration to use this feature. See https://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg27049934

Thanks a lot. Let me rephrase my question. Can a small company with no EMM and using Verse in the most simple way change the configuration in IOs to use Touch ID instead of the 4 digit code to access the Verse App?

Sure, just use the setting in the Verse security settings. See the first part of this blog post:

Thomas one more time, thanks for your answer. But after reviewing the information that you pointed to, I found that IBM Connections Cloud Users can't use Touch ID authentication. So I believe that my idea still valid. Should I open a new one or can we use the same, which I prefer, that way other people can follow the string of comments. Why Touch ID does not work for IBM Connection (Verse) Cloud Users? We don't have an on-premises environment and we don't want to have one.. however we still have the same security concerns of large companies and I also agree with your comments: "using fingerprints for unlocking phone is not only a convenient way for busy people, its also more secure than a 4 (or 6) digit passcode that anyone can get by shoulder surfing" . Hope we can get this feature included.

I see, you're talking about Verse on Cloud - in that case I would just move this idea to the other category and re-open this idea up.
